The Cottage shares the name of a local distinctive mountain Mt Titiroa.
Mt Titiroa sits at 1715 meters, it is a prominent landmark of the Te Anau basin area sitting in the Hunter mountains. It is well known for its white granite rock which gives the summit the appearance of lingering snow even in the summer months. You can see Mt Titiroa from the property. The best view is up on the hill above the main family home.
Parking is located beside the Cottage. There is plenty of parking space on the property for guests that wish to bring a boat or trailer.
The kitchen is well equipped for our guests to create a meal during their stay. Small fridge with an icebox, electric frying pan, microwave, cooking utensils, stovetop, kettle, tea and coffee provided.
Large wet floor shower and toilet in the bathroom. Toiletries, towels and a hairdryer provided for our guests.
Located in the kitchen hidden away in the cupboard, you will find a laundry space with tub and washing machine, laundry powder, iron, ironing board, and clothes rack, torch, dustpan, first aid kit.
The clothesline is located outside between the 2 cottages.
2 queen beds with quality linens, electric blankets and spare blankets.
A heat pump keeps the guests warm in winter and cool in summer. Also a wall heater situated between the two rooms.
Flat screen TV with Freeview TV, small Bluetooth speaker located in the lounge area.
Wi-Fi is currently only available to our guests at the main house and is limited as it comes to us via satellite. The signal is sometimes strong enough to reach the Cottages, but is best closer to the main house. We are working to improve this in the coming months as fibre is coming to Te Anau finally.
A BBQ out on the covered deck is perfect to enjoy the long summer evenings, with outdoor seating and picnic table.
